Failte gu MCC Alba! The Metropolitan Community Church in Scotland is made up of three worshipping congregations in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. This site brings these communities together through online discussions, links to congregations, resources and invitations to occasional events. We invite you to join us!

What is Metropolitan Community Church?

We are a Christian Church that seeks to offer a safe and affirming space where all can worship God and explore their faith, irrespective of sexuality or gender identity.

As part of the international Metropolitan Community Churches movement, we grew up within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. The message of God’s inclusive love, liberating and empowering was crucial to a people so marginalised and oppressed. Yet this is a message for all people!

God’s love is a radical and powerful love; a love for people made on purpose, who all too often struggle to love themselves like God does.

Do you want to be part of a church which welcomes all people, and celebrates the love of God, without discrimination? We’re working with folk across Scotland to find ways to work together, wherever you are – in crofts and cafes, churches and clubs, homes and harbours, online and on the phone. Get in touch, or chat on one of our forums, for more info about how to get involved!

At the moment, we have churches worshipping in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. We’re also chatting with folk in Skye, Aberdeen, Dundee and Dumfries about starting small groups in their areas.

Metropolitan Community Church seeks to live Christ's Gospel of love and liberation for all.

We firmly believe that LOVE LIBERATES!
